JOIN the Corel Down Under user group

Membership of the Corel Down Under inc user group is open to all, and comprises many different people from many different walks of life, professions, interests, and backgrounds. Currently our members ages ranges from 5 to about 85.

Membership is on an annual basis, from 1 July until 30 June the following year. Joining up between July and December requires a full year's membership fee, but joining between January to June requires only a half-year fee. People joining in May or June of any year may be given these month's membership for free if they join for a full year as there is no monthly membership plan and thus their annual membership will fall due again in July of the following year.

All members are encouraged to share their Corel knowledge and experience with the group. Most members are also interested in hearing of other members' software issues and how such issues are resolved. Discussion on any related matters: design, layout, graphics, photography, web, industry issues and news, hints and tips and many other topics are always welcome.

As the group exists entirely due to the voluntary efforts of members, our fees are kept to an absolute minimum (currently AU$55 per year, as of 1 July 2006) with a reduced rate for students and pensioners. We are always looking for more help in managing the group, in writing and gathering content for our publications, so be prepared to be asked share some of the load, although this is not a condition of membership and all help is completely voluntary. Most people find that they end up getting MUCH more out of the group by participating as much as possible.

Membership provides the following benefits:

• Free entry to all meetings for the year of membership (includes refreshments, great presentations, info and prizes)
• Five bimonthly magazines per year
• Five (alternate) bimonthly bulletins per year
• Access to our extensive reference library of books and magazines
• Access to other members' support, interests and business networking within areas of interest to the group as a whole.

Membership is also available for those outside Melbourne, Australia, such as those living in other Australian states or even in other countries. The use of electronic and telephone/fax communications allows those in other areas to join in all group activities except the monthly meetings. We regret that, at this time at least, we cannot offer membership costs below AU$35 per year, simply to cover the cost of posting out the magazine etc.
